Michaela Clarke
Project Manager for Local Partnerships at The Square One Project
Michaela Clarke (she/her) is the Project Manager for Local Partnerships at The Square One Project. In this role she provides research, outreach and coordination support to communities who are reimagining justice locally.
Prior to joining the Square One team, she worked at the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, AL on the Community Remembrance Project team where she conducted research on the history of racial injustice and managed projects for local communities who were reckoning with their local histories and memorializing victims of racial terror lynching in order to address the narrative of white supremacy and the myth of racial inferiority that has shaped the United States. In addition to the community work, she also created narrative content for the Legacy Museum Art Gallery to highlight the role of art when imagining a future free from racial injustice.
Michaela holds a B.A. in African and Black Diaspora Studies and Peace, Justice and Conflict Studies from DePaul University in Chicago.
